How it's built
- Redundant private network. Every host keeps encrypted tunnels to two independent VPN hubs. If the preferred hub stops forwarding, routes move to the standby in about twenty seconds, and back when it recovers. Both directions are tested with deliberate faults.
- Missing data is never "healthy". Every host sends a small health snapshot every two minutes over mutually authenticated TLS. A host that goes quiet raises an alert as unknown.
- Independent eyes. The checker behind this page runs on separate infrastructure from the applications, and a second host watches the checker itself.
- Least privilege. Each monitoring component has its own credentials, limited to reading exactly what it reports. Firewalls allow only the specific monitoring flows.
- Honest status. If this page's data is more than five minutes old, it says so instead of showing the last good state.
